All Things New

We are off to a late start with our  New Year Greetings here in the Lower School Library. This is largely due to the business of the library schedule, initiatives and events. We would so much rather have way to much to do, then to have not enough to do.

Here's a list of everything that has happened since we have been back from winter break:

  • We welcomed a new Library Aide, Julia Horowitz a recent Brown University graduate and aspiring librarian, who is excited to be at Wheeler! She is from Southern California and spends her free time writing fiction, collaging and making pickles.

  • Winter brought so many new books to the library. Many of these books are on display
  • Ms. Strachan and Ms. Williams have been collaborating with teachers on new curriculum initiatives for this year and next year
  • Second graders chose their Mock Caldecott Winner. Click this link to see their results

  • Fifth Graders are preparing for the Annual Rooster Games

As always we encourage you to stop in the library between now and March 13th to borrow books for the whole family to enjoy over spring break!
